VSL: Heat 78-58

The Miami Heat started slowly but warmed up quickly, earning a 78-58 victory (boxscore) over the Milwaukee Bucks in 2010 NBA Summer League action held in UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center.
Miami scored only 14 points and trailed by six after the first quarter before turning things around, owning as much as a 27-point lead. Milwaukee came out hot in the first, scoring 20 points on 58 percent shooting (7-for-12). The Bucks got six of their 20 first-quarter points from the free-throw line. The Heat (3-1) started the second quarter looking like a different team, outscoring the Bucks (0-4) 23-15 to take a two-point lead into halftime.
The second half was more of the same for Miami, as it outscored Milwaukee 41-23 over the third and fourth quarters. The Heat opened up the third scoring 11 consecutive points for a 48-35 lead before pushing the lead to 27 on two different occasions during the fourth.
The Heat made 11 3-pointers compared to Milwaukee's five. Shavlik Randolph led Miami with a team-high 18 points on 6-for-12 from the field. Kenny Hasbrouck had 14, Weyinmi Efejuku added 13 and Davon Jefferson pitched in 10 for the Heat. Milwaukee's Micah Downs scored a game-high 21, while Larry Sanders chipped in 14.
Both teams return to action against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Miami will play Saturday afternoon (3:00 p.m. PT) against Cleveland, while Milwaukee will wait until Sunday (1:00 p.m. PT). Both games will take place in the Cox Pavilion.
