How You Like Me Now?

David Stern hated The Decision, an "ill-conceived" hourlong TV special to announce a decision.

So Stern created The Schedule, a me-conceived hourlong TV special to announce a schedule.

Le Decision, Le Schedule, Le Flip, Le Flop. How you like me now?

His Decision: I would have advised him not to embark on what has been come known as The Decision. This Decision was ill-conceived, badly produced and poorly executed.

My Decision:The NBA will release its opening week and Christmas Day schedules during an hourlong TV special [to be broadcast live] Tuesday [August 3rd]. NBATV officials said the network will host the program at 7 p.m. EDT, at which time it will unveil the slate of games [selected] for "Tip-off 10" plus the Christmas and Martin Luther King Jr. holidays. The full NBA schedule will be released on Aug. 10. This is the first time the league has pre-released portions of its [schedule]. The reason is likely because of the anticipation for the debut and marquee games involving Miami's new trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh.
